Election results: Party wants Mulayam to become CM, Akhilesh Yadav says


NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party (SP) on Tuesday said it would implement all promises made by it in the election manifesto for Uttar Pradesh, including execution of Sachar and Rangnath Mishra committee recommendations.
Speaking after SP win in Uttar Pradesh polls, Akhilesh Yadav said that the party was grateful to the people of Uttar Pradesh for voting beyond caste equations to support their party.

Yadav said that the results are in favour of the party. "I thank the people of Uttar Pradesh for voting in favour of the party, for trusting and supporting us.

He also said that the people have accepted the party's mainfesto and that is why they have been voted to power.

Yadav reiterated that the entire party wants netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) to become the CM.
"The parliamentary board of the party would meet tomorrow after which party will stake the claim for formation of the government", he said.

About 'goondaraj' during SP regime, Akhilesh said that the party would take strict action against those who would take law in their hands.

He said that Samadjwadi Party parliamentary committee will chose the leader tomorrow. He clarified that restoring law and order would be the priority after taking the reins in the state.
